Midi skirts have been all-the-rage lately but I've been a bit shy to accept the trend when it came to my own wardrobe. Usually pieces that hit anywhere between my lower knee and high ankle make me look even shorter (and more stocky) than I already do. Like most people, I tend to gravitate to bottoms that make me look longer & leaner, not the opposite. Wanting something work appropriate that wasn't my typical pencil skirt, I decided to give this cream pleated midi a chance and I'm so happy I did. The material is a polyester/viscose mix making it incredibly comfortable, and there is a solid lining underneath so you don't have to worry about any see-through moments! Purchasing this in such a light color made me a little uneasy but I love how it matches everything.

Oh how I love pink. Strawberry nail polish, hot pink crossbodys, powder pink throw blankets, and now...powder pink, shredded-to-pieces, boyfriend jeans. While I believe in investing (or you could call it splurging) on classic, high-end denim, I do NOT believe in spending a lot on trendy pairs of jeans. After finding these Paige skinnys and these Current/Elliots this Spring, I started looking for a similar pair. When I came across a fusion of the two AND saw they were on sale, I ordered them immediately. I love how the femininity in soft pink hue is sharply contrasted with the overly destructed legs and slightly baggy fit . The BLANKNYC brand is sold at numerous retailers, so be sure to shop around when you're on the lookout for one of their items. I found this exact pair ranging from $52.99 here all the way to full price ($88.00) at Nordstrom. {Not sure why there is such a discrepancy in the prices, but it's just further proof to always check out your options before placing any order!}
It's no surprise that I'm usually in #basicwhitegirl mode when it comes to putting on workout clothes. 90% of the time you will find me in head-to-toe ( from my headband to my socks) Lululemon. But I have a secret! Shhh, don't tell Lulu but I've been 'seeing other people' in the world of fitness attire and I'm LOVING it. Don't get me wrong, I still have a full load & a half of Lulu gear to be washed separately from everything else (total pain) each week but I've been adding more and more pieces from THIS fabulous line to my rotation. While Splits' selection isn't nearly as big as other major brands, their items are extremely high quality and are also available at Nordstrom and a few other retailers.
