I'm sure none of you are last-minute shoppers so you can likely pass over this Gift Guide knowing that you had your presents purchased well before the those swarms of people fighting over parking spots at the mall or over the last Keurig machine at Target. To be honest, I actually did get all of my gift buying done BEFORE December 10--and that is totally a record for me!--which meant I didn't have to step foot into a store over the last few weeks, but of course I did. Because why not torture myself a little!? Plus there's always an extra item or two that someone I'm buying for just HAS to have! :) Stocking stuffers are always some of the most fun items because they're usually tiny and unexpected. You may be too late in most places to order these items, but I'm guessing most of you can find these items in your local store, or something incredibly similar. So off you all go to grab a few of these items to toss into your mom, sister, or someone else you love's stocking for Christmas! xox
It's kind of {really} hard to beat temperatures above 50* a mere 5 night sleeps before Christmas, but to no complaining from me that is exactly what we got lucky enough to experience yesterday. While it still felt cool and was a bit breezy, there was no need to be out & about with an actual jacket. PRAISE JESUS! I know I'm not the only one who hates walking into a store and either sweating with their coat on or instead lugging it around in your arms as you juggle your purse and the 7 unnecessary items you picked up in the home decor section of Target. I tend to grab this puffer vest when I go sans-jacket but not even needing that much warmth, I went for this herringbone option that pretty much every girl ever has instead. Last year I was lucky enough to find the vest, in my size, in my local J. Crew store but since they're sold out again I found you some identical options here, here, here, & here. Plus all of those options are cheap so that's kind of awesome!
Can we just pause for a moment to admire how seriously stunning this party dress is?! Ok, great, thanks. But for real though...this is a total show-stopper in my humble opinion. It's feminine, bold, figure-flattering, and the ideal length to wear to anything from a cocktail party to a wedding. Be Yourself Boutique seriously outdid themselves when decided to make this dress a part of their inventory and at just under $80 it's pretty much a steal. If you are checking out the blog for the first time this week, be sure to check out this post highlighting their mission to promote self-esteem while doing away with traditional sizing {and showing off the perfect casual outfit} and this post that was all about a very fabulous jacket. This gorgeous floral printed number is only one of many great dress options that Be Yourself has in stores. Check out their shoppable Instagram feed to see what else they have on their shelves. I'm loving this red belted option and this iridescent one!
Whether it is a leather skirt, a killer pair of heels, or maybe a fur coat, every girl has at least one item in her closet that has major ‘wow’ factor. {Sorry Kyle—I have all 3 of those…} As Christmas quickly approaches and we’re all finalizing our New Year’s Even plans, it’s inevitable that we’ll be scrambling—or will that just be me!?—for something unique and eye-catching to wear. While we tend to save those statement pieces for the big nights & events of the year, I’ve recently been saying ‘buhhh-bye’ to all fashion rules and attempting to step-up my weekday wardrobe with bolder choices and more unexpected elegance. Like Oscar Wilde said, “you can never be overdressed or overeducated” and I totally take that to heart. So enter THIS cropped, embroidered, swoon-worthy blazer ($72) that is absolutely perfect for bringing life to any day.
