Is it vest season!? Yeah, probably not quite yet, but sometimes the temperature on a given day makes you do crazy things. YOLO right!? :) As my third and final featured piece from The Panachery Boutique, I may venture to say this vest is my favorite! Vests are super versatile and I love things that be be dressed both up or down and work in numerous ways. Faux fur can be tricky fabric to get right and often times I find that faux materials are itchy or just plain uncomfortable. Not the case with this one; it is incredibly soft! The cream color and leather trim make it perfect to match with nearly anything and the texture is like butter. {Seriously though, I need a huge throw blanket made out of this same material ASAP!} Despite the fact it is only mid-September, I've been on a cozy vest kick and so far have also added this, this, this, and this (in grey) to my vest collection. Yes, I have a problem. I am working on it! At only $34, the one I'm wearing here in a no-brainer. {Snag it here for 15% off with code MWM15 before it sells out!!!}

It's fun to get dressed and put myself together, but on the weekends--Hello almost every Sunday afternoon--I like to take it down a notch. Or two, or three, but judge not lest you be judged. Am I right?! ;-) This past Sunday I co-hosted a Bridal Shower for my sister Haley in South Dakota, where I was dolled up in this flowy dress and these stacked heels, and after had to make the drive back to Omaha. Needless to say the moment I walked in my front door, off came all of the 'cute' stuff. Much like I do after a long work day, I traded my dress for leggings and a comfy t-shirt, my heels for bare feet, and up went half my hair to the top of my head. {My sisters & Kyle refer to it as my Bam-Bam (even though it's Pebbles they mean) look but I'm not even sorry about it!}
I'm a sucker for things that are feminine but not overly girly. This tunic from fellow Iowa State graduate Heidi Piper's boutique The Panachery fits that bill perfectly in my mind. I can't think of many things better than supporting a small business WHILE stocking my closet full of adorable pieces. Heidi is continuing to grow her website inventory but also runs a store out of Farnam, Nebraska! When I came across this little gem she has created, I knew it would be dangerous. I'll always love my go-to shops (Nordstrom, ASOS, etc.) but having a fun boutique option like The Panachery allows me to pick up unique options, from a limited inventory, that ensures few people will have the same item I do.
I'm holding onto these last few warm days with all I have. Apparently I am one of the only people who isn't wishing for Fall to get here quite yet because I'm seeing blanket scarves, boots, and turtlenecks all over my social media feeds! While I still can, I am wearing--and enjoying--as many summery prints and sleeveless items as possible. I have always admired Show Me Your Mumu's fun, eclectic patterns and their flowy shapes so when I saw this maxi online, I knew it had to be mine. The v-neck front and deep v in the back take the dress up a notch but the more subtle {by Mumu standards!} print keeps it from being too over-the-top for my liking. Few things can beat a piece that is comfortable, cute, and requires no matching!
Work wear isn't always my favorite thing and lately I've been on the struggle bus in the mornings when picking out my outfits for my 8-5. When the 'I have nothing to wear' bird is chirping loudly in my ear, I rely on a quick search on my Insta feed and Pinterest homepage to see what Street Style outfits are trending that I may be able to translate into office-appropriate. This particular morning nothing was popping out or speaking to me, so to Instagram I wandered. Thankfully I came across the gorgeous Kate from For the Love of Fancy's feed almost immediately and the moment I saw her checkered top paired with a pop of cobalt via her heels, I knew I had to recreate the look for my Wednesday work day. Out of the closet came my J. Crew button-up, cobalt skinnys, go-to black heels, and a bright, bold statement necklace via BaubleBar.
